The client asked about us making a metal cover for his back gate, since the wood was already beginning to show water damage, even though it was only a couple years old.  He intended to just have me bend the edges of a couple straight pieces for him to install.  They were going to fly to the east coast to visit his Sister for Thanksgiving the next day, so on Friday I did this first thing.  Even with the extra work like this and the valley flashing in front, the final price was still several hundred dollars less than the original bid, so it is like they got this extra work for free.
